NOCTRA// Tanzanite, Pink Spinel & Diamond RIng
AMSTERDAM AFTER DARK
ONLY ONE AVAILABLE
Born from the shadowed beauty of Amsterdam, NOCTRA draws inspiration from the city’s iconic canal houses—their narrow silhouettes, dramatic gables, arched windows, and centuries-old Gothic architecture. Each jewel translates these architectural details into sculptural form: sharp peaks, elongated lines, intricate openings, and unexpected angles create miniature structures designed to be worn. Rare gemstones illuminate the geometry like jewel-toned windows glowing against a midnight skyline, while platinum gives each piece a cool, enduring strength. NOCTRA is an exclusive, highly limited collection. Only a select number of pieces will ever be created, with each design individually conceived around its gemstones. No two are identical, and once a piece is gone, it will not be reproduced. Mysterious. Architectural. Unmistakably iconic.

“Mary van der Aa is truly an extraordinary jewelry designer. Her work is unlike anything you’ll find in a traditional jewelry store. Every piece feels like a miniature work of art, with incredible gemstones, beautiful craftsmanship, and such a distinctive architectural style. What I love most is that her jewelry is genuinely one-of-a-kind. You aren’t choosing something that hundreds of other people own—you’re getting a piece that feels personal, rare, and completely unique. ”
TANZANITE
Tanzanite is one of the rarest gems on earth, and is the blue- violet variety of the mineral zoisite. Tanzanite is only found in one place on earth- Tanzania, and it was first unearthed in 1967. This is where its name comes from. These highly sought after gems come from an incredibly small mining area near the Mererani Hills. Tanzanite is said to facilitate a higher consciousness and stimulate perception and intuition. It is the gemstone for the zodiac sign Sagittarius. It marks the 24th wedding anniversary, and has a hardness of 6.5. This gemstone requires special care and is not suited for everyday wear. More about Tanzanite HERE
SPINEL
Spinel is a very underrated member of the gemstone family. It first appeared in historical records of fourteenth-century Spain, and has since been confused with many gems, including Ruby. As a matter of fact, the famous 14th century Black Prince’s Ruby in the British Imperial Crown is actually a red spinel, not a Ruby. Spinel crystals form so perfectly, that in Burma they are said to be “nat thwe” or “polished by the spirits.” Some of the most sought-after spinel was found in 2007 in Mahenge, Tanzania, and has an incredible hot pink glow. Spinel is a colorful, natural gem that has recently been inducted as an August birthstone, along with its predecessor, peridot. It is also the gem for the 22nd anniversary, and is believed to encourage great passion, devotion and longevity. Spinels have a hardness of 8.0, making them very durable for everyday wear with proper care. More about Spinel HERE
