RUBELLITE
Rubellite is one of the most prized and expensive members of the tourmaline family because of its beauty and rarity. It is especially difficult to find stones that are “pure red,” and to find them in larger sizes. Not all material is this desired hue, or as good of color. Color is the most important determinant of value, with the most saturated and redder colors being the most valuable. Tourmaline is the birthstone for October, and marks the 8th wedding anniversary.
